Privacy note

What is stored when you sign. Your name, your role if you give one, your email, the one sentence about what you’ve seen if you add one, the commitments you ticked, whether you signed publicly or quietly, how you want your name shown (full name, or first name and last initial), the date you signed, and the three optional boxes: the Fireside list, bringing this to your organization, and the Sunday essays. If you filled them in, also your role level, your industry and your country, plus the world region derived from the country.

Who sees what. Your email is never shown anywhere and never shared. If you signed quietly, you are only counted; your name and sentence never appear anywhere public. If you signed publicly, your name (as you chose to show it) and your role appear on the page once enough people have signed. Role level, industry and country appear only as totals, never per person. The sentence about what you’ve seen is read by Barbara and used only for the quarterly patterns, which never include anyone’s name, scores or company.

One welcome email. Every signer gets a single welcome email from Barbara, sent through Resend, the email provider. It confirms your address works and says what happens next. It carries no tracking.

What the tick boxes mean. The Fireside box puts you on the list for the monthly online conversation; invitations go out by email in batches as seats open up. The organization box means Barbara writes to you once about what The Threshold looks like for a team. The essays box means your name and email are added to Barbara’s Substack once a month, and Substack’s own terms then apply to that subscription. Nobody is added to the essays without ticking the box. Apart from what you tick, the welcome email is the only email you get.

The Complexity Load Mirror link. The confirmation page and the welcome email link to the free Complexity Load Mirror at load.digitalwisdom.co with a personal code in the address. If you take the Mirror through that link, your Mirror result is stored with that code so Barbara can see your pledge and your reflection together. Take it without the link, or from the Mirror’s own page, and the two stay separate. Nothing else about the Mirror changes.

Where it lives. The data sits in a database hosted for Digital Wisdom Collective (Vercel and Neon). It is not sold, rented or shared with anyone beyond the providers named here: the hosting and database, Resend for the welcome email, and Substack only for people who ticked the essays box.

Removing or changing your signature. Reply to any email from Barbara, or write to barbara@digitalwisdom.co, and it’s done.
